Bell & Ross Compressed Carbon Fiber Watch

Let’s get the obvious out of the way – Bell & Ross’ line of watches are probably a little too rich for a lot of us.  With prices ranging from $3,000 to over a hundred grand, they’re not the kind of wrist pieces you stroll into the mall and come out sporting without a little forethought.

Someone snatched a glimpse of their latest model during a recent event and it’s seriously gorgeous.  Officially called the BR 01-92 Carbon Fiber, the exquisite-looking piece was built from a compressed block of carbon fiber.  While I appreciate watches with bells and whistles on occasion, this is how a man’s fashion watch should really be – tough, straightforward and understated.

The model comes in a range of different colors (for both the face and the body), with anti-reflection sapphire crystal glass.  Its got a water-resistance of up to 100 meters and should make a nice piece, whether for casual or outdoor use.  Hell, I’m no fancy guy, so I’ll probably be donning it with a suit too!

First announced at Baselworld, the watch is very new and isn’t even on B&R’s website yet.  According to Bell & Ross, the Carbon Fiber line is strictly for men, as there was very little interest for a similar product among women.  It’s scheduled for release in November of 2009.
