Stay Puft Quality Marshmallows Deliver Sweet Softness, Serious Caffeine Dose
Roast marshmallows by the campfire, stay up all night. That’s what you’ll be doing when you skewer your hotdogs with the Stay Puft Quality Marshmallows, a heavily-caffeinated treat, dutifully endorsed by everyone’s favorite lumbering, paranormal monster.
Officially licensed by the Ghostbuster franchise, the product features the smiling mascot that destroyed parts of New York City prominently in the packaging. Lucky for you, that’s where the similarity with the real Stay Puft ends, so the sugary mallows might melt in your mouth, but they won’t have to taste like ectoplasm.
The Stay Puft Quality Marshmallows are actually gourmet treats – which is a shorter way of saying they’re supposed to be especially delicious. Even better, every single square piece is infused with over 100mg of caffeine, so all you need is to pop one to get you through the next meeting.
Each 7 x 4 x 2.5 inch box comes with sixteen marshmallows and [...]
Fully Automatic Nerf Stampede ECS-50 Shoots 18 Darts Per Minute
Want to shoot evil people in your office with a rapid barrage of Nerf darts? Sure, you’ll probably be fired after such an episode, but the Nerf Stampede ECS-50 should sufficiently equip you with the hardware to do just that.
Billed as the “first fully automatic NERF Clip System blaster to date,” the gun spews ammunition at a rate of 18 darts per second – a volume of violence that’s bound to satiate even Rambo’s unquenchable bloodlust. The company calls it one of the most “exciting N-STRIKE developments released in over 40 years of NERF brand history” and it’s a tough claim to disagree with.
The Nerf Stampede ECS-50 blaster is huge at 29.9 x 14.8 x 4.4 inch dimensions and a full 6.2 lbs of weight. It comes with a pop-out bipod that doubles as a handle, along with a removable shield to help keep enemy shots at bay. The gun [...]
Nikon D3100, World’s First DSLR With Continuous Autofocus For Video
I know, video shooting with on-the-fly autofocus on a low-end DSLR doesn’t exactly set your ass on fire. Regardless, here it is, available on the Nikon D3100 and it only costs $700.
That’s right, no more using manual aids to keep a subject in continuous focus while shooting videos on your DSLR. This one does it all on its own, all while grabbing full HD 1080p captures at 24 fps (and 720p at 30 fps). It uses Nikon’s Expeed 2 technology for the purpose, which constantly adjusts the optics to keep the intended target as the main attraction.
The Nikon D3100 sports a 14.2 Megapixel DX-format CMOS image sensor, 11-point autofocus system, ISO up to 12,800, a 3-inch LCD, built-in pop flash and the usual DSLR features. Aimed at entry-level users, it comes with a Guide Mode, which offers mini-tutorials that you can watch on the onboard screen for getting the most [...]
Miniature Accidents Waiting To Happen: Intersecting Slot Car And Train Set
Slot car racing is fun. Slot car racing with the risk of having your model run over by a larger vehicle is even more entertaining. That’s the kind of action you’ll get with the Intersecting Slot Car and Train Set, which has one section of the racing track crossing paths with a model railroad.
Great for fans of slot car racers, model trains and epic accidents, the toy set is made up of two tracks – one for the slot cars and another for the locomotive. The designs for both are rather basic, although the decision to have them cut off each other’s paths is definitely inspired.
When fully assembled, the Intersecting Slot Car and Train Set requires 51 x 57 inches of open space. The race track is made up of 15 pieces that lock in to form seven curves (including a 180-degree hairpin turn), while the 11 railroad parts tack [...]
Snow Transformation Pack Turns Your Windows Desktop Into OS X Snow Leopard
Do you love the Mac’s desktop, but can’t stomach the Apple tax? Forget those lame themes and install the Snow Transformation Pack, a free Windows software that makes your entire system look like OS X.
Created by WinXSoft, the freeware does more than change a background, use different fonts and add new icons like typical themes. Instead, it recreates the entire Snow Leopard UI, making your Windows 7 or Vista desktop feel legitimately like a Mac computer. Plus, you can still play games and not rave like a fanboy, which are always awesome qualities to have.
The Snow Transformation Pack replaces a whole host of components, such as system icons, system sounds, graphics, wallpapers, login screen, shutdown dialog box and system branding logo. It also throws in additional applications to emulate Snow Leopard features, such as the Dock, Spaces, Shadow and more. Simply put, it goes above and beyond what OS X [...]
Weed Whacking Golf Driver Lets You Cheat At Golf
You take a swing, the ball flies and it lands on thick grass. Just your luck – it looks like you’re paying for the evening’s round of drinks again. Or maybe not with the Weed Whacking Golf Driver, an innocent-looking club that sneakily hides a built-in grass trimmer.
At a glance, it looks like a regular driver that’s slightly oversized. We doubt anyone will even pay it any mind while you take it out of your golf bag and take it near the ball, pretending to calculate what kind of shot you should aspire for. Push a single button, however, and the plastic bottom flips open. Do the same with another button and the integrated single-string cutter goes to work, clearing the area around your ball’s unfortunate landing spot.
The Weed Whacking Golf Driver is a 1 lb., 39-inch long club that’s equipped to get rid of obstructive grass on the down [...]
Roboscooper Can Pick Up Litter, Whack Everything In Its Way
Robots really need to start doing more of our stuff. I mean, they’re going to be our overlords soon enough, so we might as well enjoy their servitude while we can. Beef up your roster of robot slaves with the Roboscooper, an autonomous robot that can collect stuff strewn around your floors and stow them on his back.
Created by WowWee, the wheeled automaton delivers both playful robot looks and excellent utility, scooping up scattered objects that are too big for your Roomba to haul. Unfortunately, it’s got limited strength and is only able to take on objects weighing one ounce or less. Not bad, since that means it can pick up light objects, such as plastic toys, dirty socks and dropped food, all while taking laps around your joint without supervision.
The Roboscooper is a 13 x 8.5 x 8 inch (l x w x h) autonomous collector robot, equipped with [...]
Amazon Kindle 3, Now Smaller And Cheaper
Not only did the iPad not manage to kill the Kindle, it’s selling better than ever. Of course, Amazon did have to slash the price down to $189 to pull it off, but it does prove the point poignantly: dedicated e-readers might really be here to stay. That could be especially true with a cheaper WiFi-only Kindle on the way, which Amazon is pricing at an even lower $139.
Rather than a way to attract new customers, Amazon thinks the Wi-Fi Kindle’s low price will be a great motivator for people to buy more than one Kindle for their household. The new ebook-toting 3G-less handheld will come late August, along with a 3G version that will retail at the same $189 price. Both will feature exactly the same hardware and design, save for the connectivity capabilities.
Measuring 1/3 of an inch thick and weighing a svelte 8.7 ounces, the third-generation Kindles feature [...]
Evil Fortune Cookies Offer Bleak Insights, Sad Prophecies
Fortune cookies are great for drama. That’s why they’ve been used in countless references for various purposes in both TV and film, from delivering a profound message that changes the protagonist’s life to playing practical jokes. The Cookie Misfortune Evil Fortune Cookie is the same, except it does away with pearls of wisdom, choosing to advise you of your bleak, unhappy future instead.
Banal platitudes and hopeful encouragements are nice. The average person’s waking hours aren’t really filled with them, though. In truth, you probably spend your days working thankless jobs, getting dumped by ugly girlfriends and unsuccessfully attempting to improve your station in life. To be blunt, your life sucks.
The Cookie Misfortune Evil Fortune Cookies tell it like it is. From short, succinct pronouncements (“F*** you”) to profound assessments (“Your friends don’t really like you”) to the literary (“Life is nasty, brutish and short”), it shares life’s wisdom like a [...]
Firefighter, Meet The Firefighting Bike
Fire trucks are great. It would be better if they’re giant monster fire trucks, though, with a license to flatten all vehicles on their path while on the way to an incident during traffic. Since that’s never gonna happen (let’s face it, you need a high-level of genius to appreciate that idea), I’d happily settle for this emergency traffic beater: a firefighting bike.
Commissioned for the Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service in Liverpool, England, the specially-equipped motorcycles come with every fire-dousing equipment necessary to effectively subdue a small blaze. While it won’t replace a high-capacity truck any day soon, having a couple of firemen with the tools to offer a quick, first-response should help keep small outbursts (such as car fires and spontaneously-combusting subhumans) from getting worse.
The modified BMW “fire bikes” are loaded with state-of-the-art equipment that can be used to fight blazes as soon as they arrive on scene, all [...]
Onkyo Introduces 3D-Ready, THX-Certified HTIB
Thinking of upgrading to a new packaged home theater? Future-proof your home entertainment setup with the Onkyo HT-S9300THX, the first HTIB that delivers both THX-certified audio and 3D-ready hardware.
Compatible with the mandatory formats for 3D broadcasts (Side-by-Side and Top-and-Bottom), you’re guaranteed state-of-the-art video without another upgrade, whichever way industry standards fall. Onkyo claims it’s the first packaged system of its kind, designed for home theater enthusiasts who can’t be bothered with the hassle of picking out separate components to deck their THX-pumpin’, 3D-displayin’ multimedia rooms.
The Onkyo HT-S9300THX is made up of seven theater loudspeakers, a subwoofer for deep-bass sound effects and an AV receiver, designed to play nice with the snazziest HD and 3D hardware your paycheck can buy. Features include four HDMI 1.4a inputs, HDMI-thru functionality, 3D pass-through capability, Dolby Prologic Iiz processing, 2EQ automatic speaker calibration, dynamic EQ and volume processing, compressed music optimization and 1080p analog upconversion.
Onkyo’s [...]
Bendy Bike Can Wrap Its Frame Around Poles
Bicycles are great. Folding bikes, even better. Now, a young designer is about to add a third type that just blows the mind: the Bendy Bike, a bicycle with a flexible frame that you can wrap around a pole.
Created by 21-year old Kevin Scott, the bike lets you do away with using a chain to secure it. It’s not as malleable as to be bound into a knot (which would have been glorious), the body does manage to flex enough for the front and rear wheels to almost meet in the same spot.
The Bendy Bike uses segmented sections in place of the top and down tubes, allowing it to curve for wrapping around lampposts and poles. Since commuting on a swaying bike would be impossible, a ratchet mechanism installed on the seat tube lets you crank the segments tight, creating a rigid frame for riding.
While it eliminates the use of [...]

A 3D Video Camcorder For Your Pocket
You’re probably never gonna be James Cameron, but nothing’s stopping you from making epic 3D movies of your favorite cats. Well, nothing except having a 3D Video Camcorder you can actually afford. And now, you can have that too.
Available from Hammacher Schlemmer, they’re claiming it to be the first camcorder to shoot 3D video, letting you see what’s being recorded on an onboard viewfinder without need for special glasses. Unfortunately, you don’t need special glasses because the viewfinder can only display in 2D. But, hey, you can wear those godawful blue and red specs anyway. I heard it makes you look thinner.
The 3D Video Camcorder uses two lenses, working with a 3.0 megapixel image sensor to capture multi-perspective videos and stills. All interlacing is done in real time right on the camcorder, so the movie is saved to the bundled 4GB SD card in 3D-rendered anaglyph form. Don’t expect HD-quality [...]
What Signature On Contract? The KGB Disappearing Ink Pen
Do you like to sign stuff and regret them later?
Weere you forced to put something in writing that you really didn’t want to ?
Like when I had to put it in writing for my wife that I will not use my iPad in bed anymore. Never put your signature permanently again with the KGB Disappearing Ink Pen, an erstwhile regular writing instrument armed with gel ink that vanishes after 48 hours.
Supposed to be invented by KGB scientists during the Cold War (which, by the way, isn’t the same as the Ice Age), it was used to write spy notes that left no trace for enemies to find. With the end of that US-Russia nonsense, it’s now the perfect tool for signing IOUs you don’t intend to pay back, writing death threats you don’t want to bite you back in court and sabotaging classmates during exams. For the latter, just trade [...]
Russian Nesting Dolls, Now In Robot And Ninja Form
How do you make Matryoshka dolls cool again? Dress them up for the modern age, of course, just like they did with these Robot and Ninja Russian Nesting Dolls.
If you’re not familiar with Matryoshka dolls, they’re basically a set of hollow dolls of decreasing sizes, placed inside each other. That means opening up one doll gets you a smaller doll, which, in turn, contains another doll and so on.
Every set of Ninja and Robot Nesting Dolls contains six dolls each, ranging in height from 30mm (slightly over an inch) to 114mm (about 4.5 inches). Unlike your grandma’s wooden babushkas, these modern interpretations are built out of hard ABS plastic and finished to a glossy shine. Each of the six dolls feature a slightly varying design from the rest of their crew, just like the classic Matryoshkas of old.
I remember seeing a few Matryoshkas in our attic [...]
