Decorating the Christmas tree is fun. After years of doing the same thing over and over, though, it can get pretty boring. So why not spice up your Christmas decorations with a little pop culture? If you’re a fan of sci-fi movies, you may just like the Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments Aliens P-5000 Power Loader.

That’s right, Hallmark made a Christmas tree ornament of the mechanized exoskeleton used in the movie, complete, of course, with Ellen Ripley wearing the darn thing. And, yes, you can hang it just as casually as all the shining balls, snowmen, and candy canes that normally find their way to your tree, so you can have something different dangling over all your wrapped presents this year.

The Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments Aliens P-5000 Power Loader, basically, recreates Ripley’s Power Loader outfit from the classic Aliens movie, which she busted out after failing to defeat the extraterrestrial antagonists using conventional military weapons. To the unfamiliar, the Power Loader is a fictional mechanized exoskeleton suit that was used in industrial applications to enable people to lift materials that were otherwise impossible for humans to carry. In the movie, Ripley decided to use it as a last resort so that she may engage the Xenomorph Queen in hand-to-hand combat without being easily overpowered.

It’s quite the detailed recreation, by the way, with plenty of detailing on both the machine and Ripley herself, so this is something any sci-fi fan can definitely appreciate. From the exosuit’s protective framework, hydraulic claws, and welding torch to Ripley’s wrinkled white shirt, blue harness, and funky Reebok Alien Stompers, this has way more detail than we ever expected. In fact, this is arguably the most detailed pop culture-themed ornament Hallmark has made so far and they’ve released quite a bit over the years, including one of the Xenomorph Queen, a Predator, and even the shark from Jaws. Suffice to say, avid toy collectors won’t be disappointed seeing this trinket stuffed in their stockings.

Since this is meant to be hung on Christmas trees rather than played with, the Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments Aliens P-5000 Power Loader isn’t articulated, so you can’t quite pose it in scintillating battles with a matching alien queen. You can, however, hang it side by side to an ornament of that extraterrestrial creature, so you can pretend they’re about to reenact their mano-a-mano at the USS Sulaco during the finale of that movie. That, or they’re just going to hang there doing nothing like actual tree ornaments.

While designed to be hung on a tree, this thing is really good-looking enough to find a permanent space in a display shelf for showing off all year round. Fortunately, it’s been designed to be able to stand on its own, so you can easily do that without any problems. Dimensions are 3.2 x 4.3 x 3.5 inches (width x height x depth), so it’s smaller than most of your action figures, making it easy to find room in any shelf.

The Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments Aliens P-5000 Power Loader is available now.
