Hot Wheels RC Nitro Speeders Can Run At Scale Speeds Of 600mph

Diecast racing can be nasty fast.  As in, you can miss the finish if you blink at the wrong time, especially on shorter less-complicated slot tracks.  These Hot Wheels RC Nitro Speeders, however, take fast to a whole other level, boasting scale speeds of 600mph.

No, the tiny cars themselves won’t blitz through your floor faster than a Bugatti.  In fact, each only runs at a max speed of 8.3 mph.  Considering they’re 1/87-scale in size, though, that’s mighty impressive.  And, in all likelihood, a lot of fun.

Hot Wheels’ RC Nitro Speeders are diecast radio-controlled cars.  Each set features one car and a controller unit that also charges the vehicles (you slot four AAs on the controller and charge the cars via a miniUSB hookup).  The controller also features a holding compartment, so it can act as the cars’ carrying case.

The vehicles are powered by dual 30,000 RPM motors, with complete steering maneuverability.  Suffice to say, there’s a lot of fun to be enjoyed with these things, provided your eyes can keep track of tiny rolling objects running at a very fast pace.  Current models include a Mustang, a Chevy Camaro, Dale Earnheardt Jr.’s Hammer Head, and Ken Block’s Ford Fiesta.

Amazon has all the current Hot Wheels RC Nitro Speeders models, with prices starting at $24.99.
