Drive Screws And Loosen Bolts On Your Car With Land Rover’s Card-Shaped Multi-Tool

There’s no shortage of card-sized multi-tools that you can keep in your wallet, ready to be pulled out whenever screws need to be driven, bolts need to be loosened, or bottles need to be opened. The Land Rover Defender Multi-Tool, however, is no different, except it comes in the likeness of the outfit’s iconic four-wheel drive.

That’s right, it’s a card-sized multi-tool shaped like the British off-roader, so you can loosen the screws on your license plates or tighten the bolts on your fender using something that looks like a vehicle. No, it won’t make the job any easier compared to a different card-style multi-tool, but the fact that the darn thing looks like an iconic Defender sure sounds a heck of a lot more fun.

The Land Rover Defender Multi-Tool puts 11 tools on its credit card-sized frame. That includes a tire tread gauge for checking whether your tires can still hold up to a long trip, as well as a wire cutter for those times you need to cut a piece of wire or string. There’s a screwdriver for those times you need to remove your license plate, along with six sizes of wrenches (5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm, 9mm, and 10mm) for any job that requires you to deal with nuts and bolts on your car. Of course, it comes with the requisite bottle opener, so you can pop open a cold one after a long day is done.

Construction is stainless steel, so this should hold up to everyday tasks that require to use whatever tool is on hand, although the form factor does make it a little less ideal for any job that’s more than light-duty in nature. I mean, the amount of elbow grease required to loosen a rusted bolt with this thing is probably a little much. While designed to fit in a card slot on your wallet, it comes with a Land Rover-branded faux-suede pouch, in case you’d rather carry it separately. And judging from how thick this thing is, keeping it away from your wallet might be a good idea (it will add a good chunk of bulk).

The Land Rover Defender Multi-Tool is actually thick enough that the darn thing can stand upright when set down via the wheels. At least, that’s what the product photos suggest. If that holds, it means, you can display on your desk in the office or a shelf at home, which is definitely a lot better than merely hiding it in your wallet. I mean, this thing looks too awesome to hide from the rest of the world.

Do you need this multi-tool? Probably not. Do you want this multi-tool? Probably yes. We mean, it doesn’t matter whether you’re a fan of British SUVs or not, this thing looks great. Plus, it wouldn’t hurt to have a multi-tool on hand for those times you actually need some kind of everyday tasks done.
