Netgear 3DHD Kit Lets You Stream Multiple 3D HD Videos Wirelessly

Looking for a wireless solution to deliver all that 3D 1080p  content to all the spanking-new 3DTVs around your house?  Netgear just announced their 3DHD Wireless Home Theater Networking Kit, a set of high-performance wireless adapters that will stream multiple 3D and HD video streams  at the same time.

Each kit comes with two 3DHD adapters, each of which features four transmitters and four receivers for 4×4 MIMO connectivity.  That means, it’s packing multiple antennas for higher bandwidth, range, and reliability (which you will need for the dual streams that 3D content requires).

The Netgear 3DHD measures 6.9 x 5.1 x 1.4 inches, making for a relatively unobtrusive box that you can situate among your home theater gear.  Using the 5 GHz band, it adds on to your existing WiFi router or gateway, automatically detecting the access point or bridge mode as needed.  Up to four ethernet-enabled devices in your home theater can be  tethered to each box at a time, including BD players, internet TVs, set-top boxes and more.

It works without any elaborate setup necessary — just hook up the connections, turn it on and enjoy your multiple jitter-free Blu-ray streams.  The boxes come with integrated DSP engine to accelerate higher layer security, as well as support for multicast point-to-multipoint HD video streaming.

No word on availability or pricing for the Netgear 3DHD Wireless Home Theater Networking Kit yet, but full details are already up on their website.
