Ranger Hawk Axe Chops Wood, Kills Zombies

If you’re serious about preparing for the zombie invasion, you know better than to stock up on just guns and bullets.  Loud and exhaustible, they’re not exactly the thinking man’s zombie weapon of choice.  You need something quiet and recyclable for use multiple times over like the M48 Ranger Hawk Axe.

Designed for all-day handling, the axe is small and light enough to be carried in hand without burning out your biceps and forearm muscles.  That way, you never have to be caught by a lumbering zombie unprepared — you’re armed and ready to strike at a moment’s notice.

Made by United Cutlery, the M48 Ranger Hawk Axe features different forms for each side of the head. One is a wide, upswept axe blade for handling regular slashing and chopping duties, as well as cutting up the limbs of any zombie that grabs ahold of your feet; the other side is a bladed spike that can penetrate any zombie head right through the skull and straight into the brain.

Blade is constructed from precision cast 2Cr13 stainless steel, with the handle made from a mix of fiberglass and nylon.  The bottom half of the handle is covered in nylon cord for improved grip while held in hand, with a carabiner at the end for hooking onto a belt loop. Package includes a nylon snap-button sheath (so you can cover it up while you chill back at camp) and a directional compass (just in case you get lost running away from a horde of brain eaters).

The M48 Ranger Hawk Axe is available from Thinkgeek, priced at $59.99.
