Let Roomba’s Compact Braava Jet Robot Sweep And Mop Your Hard Floors

We’re big fans of the Roomba and its dirt-sucking talents, keeping dirt and debris off your floors all on its own. Much as we appreciate that function, a robot vacuum isn’t necessarily the best cleaning robot for every type of home. For some, a robot that can mop your tile and hardwood floors will probably work a lot better and that’s exactly what the Roomba Braava Jet brings.

Designed for smaller apartments and homes, it’s a compact cleaning robot that measures 6.7 x 7 x 3.3 inches, allowing it to squeeze into narrow openings around crowded rooms. Roomba recommends it for use in bathrooms and kitchens, where wet floors can make it difficult for robotic vacuum cleaners to perform their function, although you can use it for other rooms in the house (provided they don’t have carpets or rugs, since getting those wet won’t be ideal).

The Roomba Braava Jet can perform wet mopping, damp sweeping, and dry sweeping duties through the use of a cleaning pad at the bottom, with a nozzle out front spraying water directly on the floor for wet and damp cleaning. Three types of pads are available for sliding on the bottom – one for sweeping, another for light mopping, and a last one for deep cleaning stains. Do note, the pads aren’t reusable, with a lever under the top handle allowing you to release it straight to the trash can. Like Roomba’s other cleaning robots, it comes with sensors and learning talents that allow it to memorize a room’s layout and avoid obstacles.
