USB And MicroUSB Connectors Allow The SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive To Work On Both Smartphones And Computers

The introduction of thumb drives made it convenient to transfer files between different computers. As useful as they are, they won’t be any help when you need to transfer files from a computer to a smartphone and vice versa. The San Disk Ultra Dual USB Drive updates the thumb drive for our mobile times, sporting both USB and microUSB connectors for use on both computers and Android phones.

That’s right, you can finally back up all the important files on your phone to a flash drive and even access them on a computer later without having to remove the phone from your pocket. Whether it’s for email attachments you need to use at work, photos you’d like to edit in Photoshop on a desktop, or an MP3 voice recording of that genius idea you had while waiting in line at the DMV, this thing should make the transfer of files between a phone and a computer quick, smooth, and easy.

The SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive comes in 16, 32, and 64GB capacities, with each one featuring a USB connector on one end and a microUSB plug on the other. It’s plug and play, too, so simply stick it into your phone’s microUSB slot and the device will immediately recognize it. You can use any installed file manager on your phone to transfer files, although SanDisk, naturally, recommends using their own Memory Zone app (free for download at the Google Play store).  Phone compatibility is restricted to Android, though (sorry, everyone else, though iPhone users do have an option in iStick), but it can work like a regular thumb drive on any Mac or Windows computer.

Pricing for the SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive starts at $11.99 for the 16GB version.
