We’ve seen bags that can expand their capacity before. The TAB adjustable bag, however, takes expansion a whole new level, as it’s able to go from a 31-liter gym bag to a 45.5-liter duffel to a massive 62-liter carryall without any additional attachments.
Billed as “one bag that can replace all bags,” the darn thing doesn’t just adjust in size, it can be equipped as a regular shoulder duffel, a backpack, and a cross-body sling bag, too, making for an unusually versatile bag that can handle most any situation. Even better, the darn thing can pack into a small bundle measuring 8 x 8 x 4.75 inches, making it dead easy to store and carry with you at any time.
TAB achieves its impressive expandable design using a clever cinch system that you can tighten and loosen to equip into the desired size. It’s integrated into the bag’s design, so it’s completely inconspicuous, making the whole thing look like any ordinary bag. DWR-coated ripstop nylon construction and waterproof zippers ensure the darn thing will keep your stuff dry even during rainy days, with three different carry handles ensuring you can carry it comfortably by hand no matter how it’s been expanded.
Features include UTX hardware, a lockable main compartment, a quick-access front pocket, and a light weight of 1.2 pounds. It comes with a bright blue lining that makes it easy to visually identify any of the bag’s contents.
A Kickstarter campaign is currently running for TAB. Pledges to reserve a unit starts at $99.
