Win A Star Trek Wedding

Just because you’re getting married doesn’t mean you have to stop being a Star Trek dork.  This summer, snag yourself a hot wife while living out the geekiest Star Trek fantasy by getting married at the bridge of the Starship Enterprise (yep, one that was used in a real film).

The Franklin Institute, who are currently playing host to STAR TREK: THE EXHIBITION, are holding an online competition to find a winning couple who will get their dream wedding aboard the Enterprise replica that they currently have on display.   If your bedside fantasies ever included getting married amidst a 12,500 foot exhibition of the most comprehensive collection of Star Trek objects and memorabilia (including the Next Generation Bridge and Kirk’s original captain’s chair), this is an opportunity you can’t miss!

To enter, simply submit a photo of you and your future spouse, along with a short paragraph on why you should be picked amidst a mass of costume-toting Trekkies Trekkers.  Deadline for entries is June 24th, with the winning finalists to be voted on by Star Trek fans worldwide, all of whom can cast their votes at the Institute’s website from the 6th to the 20th of July.

What can you expect from your Star Trek wedding package?  For one, don’t count on scoring a free wedding out of it.  You’ll get a one hour ceremony aboard the Enterprise, along with a four hour private use of a reserved space at the Franklin Institute (good for 100 guests).  You also get two nights of free accommodations at a nearby hotel, plus a wedding cake (hopefully, Star Trek-themed) courtesy of the promotion.  Other than those, you’ll have to fork over for everything else, including the reception.  Still, that one hour ceremony on a ship’s bridge would be absolutely priceless.

Now, if only you can get your fiancé to agree….
