Anicorn’s Series K452 Watch Uses A Planet Revolving Around A Star To Tell The Seconds

We’re fond of watches that use a concentric dial, providing a novel and interesting way of telling the time. We’re especially fond when they’re as good-looking as these Anicorn Series K452 Watches, which pair the concentric dial with a stylish design that should go well with most everyday attires.

A trio of concentric circles serve as the watch face, each one individually rotating to indicate the hours, minutes, and seconds, respectively. To read time, simply check which hour and minute indicators are aligned at the single engraved line at the top of the watch, although the seconds disc rotate on a world all its own (basically, it spins like a traditional seconds hand).

According to Anicorn, the Series K452 is named after Kepler-452b, an Earth-like exoplanet that orbits a star much like our own sun. As such, the central seconds dial is designed to resemble the exoplanet, with a small dot representing the seconds rotating around a larger dot. Four models are available, all of them sporting the same trio of concentric dials, with the background colors serving as the main points of difference. Under the 42mm stainless steel case and domed Plexiglass crystal sits the self-winding Miyota Calibre 9015 movement, with a crystal in the back so you can watch the entire thing at work.

It comes with a quick strap-changing system that lets you swap in a new band with a simple pull and click. Two strap options are available: a leather band and a Milanese mesh bracelet.
