What’s the perfect screen size for a work-focused tablet? We don’t know, either. For the newest iteration of their productivity tablet, Apple is introducing a new screen size with the 10.5-inch iPad Pro.

Designed to replace the 9.7-inch model before it, the slightly larger tablet is the new alternative to the oversized 12.9-incher, giving users plenty of screen real estate while still maintaining largely compact dimensions. In fact, it’s roughly the same size as its predecessor – a feat Apple achieved through reducing the bezels by a whopping 40 percent.

The 10.5-inch Apple iPad Pro’s Retina display boasts a 2224 x 1668 resolution, with 600 nits of brightness and a wide P3 color gamut for excellent color reproduction. According to Apple, the 20 percent screen size boost allowed the tablet to have a “full-size” virtual keyboard, which should be more comfortable to type on than the slightly cramped one on its smaller predecessor. It runs on an A10X Fusion chip and a 12-core GPU combo that, according to the outfit, brings 30 percent faster CPU speed and 40 percent faster graphics processing than the previous generation.

Features include dual cameras (12 megapixels in the back and 7 megapixels out front), up to 512GB storage, fast-charging support, and a battery rated at up to 10 hours of use. While the tablet is powerful enough on its own, Apple is trying to get folks excited about iOS 11, which will come out in the fall, giving the tablet a whole new set of productivity features that includes a dock (for recently-used apps and files), an all-inclusive file manager, drag and drop functionality, and redesigned multi-tasking, among other things.
