nOir for DC Comics Turns Comic Book References Into Attractive Jewelry

Getting your girlfriend into comic books is a herculean task seldom worthy of pursuing.  Same with getting her to wear anything comic book-related.  With the nOir for DC Comics, however, she might just change her mind.

A made-for-ladies jewelry collection, the comics-inspired line is divided among four primary characters in the DC Universe: Supergirl, Batgirl, Wonder Woman and Catwoman.  Each piece features a distinct trademark identifiable to one character, such as Wonder Woman’s bullet-shielding cuffs, Batgirl’s hometown Gotham City skyline or Catwoman’s claws.

The nOir for DC Comics collection consist of rings (including double rings), earrings, necklaces and bracelets.  Made with solid brass, the adornments come plated in either gold, gunmetal or rhodium, with cubic zirconia stones placed throughout the body.

Do note that both the Batgirl and Supergirl logos are no different from their counterpart Batman and Superman emblems, which sort of dilutes the whole point of using the female superheroes as inspiration.  Those Catwoman claws look nasty, though, and could easily be put to use as self-defense equipment (or a useful bra unhooker, if you’re lazy).

Prices for the items in the nOir for DC Comics collection vary, starting at $70 for a pair of cuff links to a few hundred for the necklaces.
