It’s not the first iPhone case to come with an integrated power plug. The EZ Charge Case, however, does others one better by coming with 28 inches of power cord, so you can charge your phone without having to leave it sticking out of the wall outlet.
That means, you can charge your phone on the fly while still using it, all without having to carry a plug with a long cord in your pocket. Yes, both the plug and the cord are designed to stay right on the case, so you do get a bit of extra bulk (okay, a lot) to go with the convenient charging function.
The EZ Charge Case comes in two variants: standard and Pro, with the latter getting a 2000mAh backup battery to help extend your phone’s runtime. Other than that, both are configured exactly the same, with power cord that winds around the edges of the phone and a plug that sits on its own compartment in the back. And, yes, the plug can be detached from the cable to expose a USB connector, so you can plug it to a USB port instead if that is what’s available in the room.
Do note, the case will, pretty much, double the iPhone 7’s thickness, so it will make for a more substantial presence in your pocket. It comes in three colors: black, gray, and white.
An Indiegogo campaign is currently running for the EZ Charge Case. You can reserve a unit for pledges starting at $25.
