Most stuffed pillows are easy enough to clean. Just throw them in the washer, put them on a gentle cycle in cold water, and you’re good to go. Things are different, of course, when it comes to foam pillows, which require more laborious hand-cleaning if you don’t want the washing machine to tear them into pieces. Suffice to say, keeping them clean is no fun. The Heroic Sleep Pillow changes that.
Just like other foam pillows, it comes in an ergonomic shape that offer different densities at various sections, allowing you to find the most supportive spot, depending on how you sleep. Unlike them, though, it’s completely machine-washable, allowing you to clean it like a traditional fill pillow, sparing you from the hassle of hand-washing and vacuuming that most foam pillows require.
The Heroic Sleep Pillow has a custom shape designed to accommodate various sleeping styles. There’s an elevated section in the middle on one side and a slimmer section opposite it, so traditional back sleepers can choose whether to elevate their head higher or lower, while both left and right sections are designed specifically for the needs of side sleepers. According to the outfit, the shape allows for comfort and alignment for those specific sleeping positions, which are the most common sleeping postures for a good load of people.
The foam is very bouncy, by the way, so the pillow should retain its shape, no matter how much you squish it during slumber. Aside from the ergonomic shape, the pillow’s foam material is also highly breathable, so you get regular, consistent airflow to keep your head cool while it lays on the pillow surface, all while being hypoallergenic and non-toxic, so it’s safe to use for everyone.
The Heroic Sleep Pillow’s biggest selling point, of course, is the fact that it’s machine-washable. A 10-minute cycle (we’re assuming on gentle settings) on the washing machine is all that’s needed to properly get it cleaned, then another 30-minute cycle should let it dry enough to go right back in your bed. Even better, it’s not restricted to cold water, as it can actually withstand warm temperatures up to 100 degrees Celsius, so you can clean it in warm water to help kill any contaminants. Of course, washing pillows means wearing it out just a bit every time. Fortunately, it’s designed to hold up well to cleaning, as they claim it can handle up to 1,000 washes, which should be enough to keep it clean for an entire decade of use.
Dimensions are 20.7 x 14.3 x 4.8 inches (width x depth x height), so this is a little smaller than your typical pillow, which means you’ll probably have to order custom pillowcases for this thing. Unless, of course, you’re fine with not using pillowcases, since you can just dump the thing in the washer and clean it like the rest of the sheets in your bed. Construction is silicone for the inner material and polyester for the outer fabric cover.
