The Kammok Kuhli Pro is the outfit’s first product to use Amphibiskin X, a proprietary material cut in 15-denier ripstop nylon with a semi-reflective interior that bounces heat back down towards the space it’s covering. That makes it ideal for using in cold weather, as it capably prevents heat from leaving the space, allowing it to maintain warmer temperatures than traditional tarps. To keep out water, they spared no expense, coating it with layers of silicone, polyurethane, and DWR, along with sealed and stitched seams, ensuring it’s impermeable to the elements, whether it be rain, wind, or snow. Sure, it might not be the best thing to use when camping in the summer (it might make things warmer), but it’s definitely what you’ll want to use the rest of the time.
Ten guy out points with cord lock adjustments allow you to set it up in plenty of configurations, so you can hang it and secure it, regardless of what’s available in your surroundings. During storms, you can even use it to build a protective wall around you by simply staking out the middle guy outs and folding in the four corners of the tarp. All anchor points, by the way, are reinforced with Hypalon that’s been laser-cut and sewn with a circular bar tack stitch, providing a strong opening that you can use for inserting poles.
The Kammok Kuhli Pro has cords with built-in line-lock tensioners and cord hooks that allow you to set it up without making any knots, enabling faster setup times, with integrated mesh pockets at each anchor point allowing you to keep all your cables tidy and organized. All the cords, by the way, come with high-visibility reflective tracers, so you can easily find your camp when you find yourself fumbling around in the dark (hopefully, with a flashlight in hand).
It has a maximum 108 square feet of coverage when the tarp is set up flat, so multiple people should be able to fit under it, depending on how it’s set-up. Each tarp comes with a water-resistant and abrasion-resistant stuff sack (with button snaps for attaching to loops and rings), eight aluminum J-stakes (with notches at the top and the midway point), and a guyline.
