MyKea Design Pimps Your Ikea Furniture

Love Ikea, but can’t stand the bare finish on every piece of furniture you get?  Jazz ’em up with decals from MyKea Design, who specialize in custom-fit adhesive covers for popular Ikea pieces.

What assembled chattel do you get to dress up?  They current support only a handful of the big I’s best sellers, namely the Malm Dresser, the Billy Bookcase, the Expedit Bookcase, the Expedit Coffee Table, the Malm Bed, the Lack Coffee Table and the Pax Wardrobe.  Still, a few colorful articles sound a heck of lot better than your entire apartment decked in white and a little black.

Mykea Design’s covers are made from high-quality vinyl stickers that have been tested for long-lasting hold  and can be cleaned with a cloth.  Each one is delivered pre-cut, so all you have to do is apply them to the surface of your barenaked Ikea piece.  The printing process uses Forga 27 for CMYK and S-RGB profiles, with the actual prints accurately representing at least 95% of the colors on a digital image.

You start the ordering process by choosing a product you’d like to turn less boring, pick the size and choose from one of the available designs.  There are a ton of graphic categories on board, from abstracts to cityscapes to people, so you can dress up every item in your apartment with something different.  You can also upload a custom photo, in case you have something specific in mind.

Pricing for Mykea Design decals vary anywhere from 12 Euros to 160 Euros, depending on size and graphic.
