Panasonic TH-152UX1W Plasma TV Costs Only £600,000

You’re old.  And your eyesight is still perfect.  And you have way too much money.  And your house is way too huge with a door big enough to fit a party hunting truck.  Well, this  Panasonic TH-152UX1W is the TV your life has been missing.

Slated to be sold by Harrod’s for a whopping £600,000, the plasma TV set features a 152-inch screen — the largest commercially available in the world.  Sure, it’s probably more suited for airports and theme parks, but it’s going to solve a lot of your rich people problems.  Perfect eyesight?  We doubt that will stay long if you stare for hours at this thing from a close distance.  Too much money?  Yep, close to a million dollars should make for a decent dent in the pocketbook.  House too big?  Yep, this should fill up a wall and let you take advantage of all that space in the living room.

If your neighbor can’t stop bragging about his 60-inch plasma set, the Panasonic TH-152UX1W should shut him up in a jiffy, as it has a screen that’s exactly the same size you’ll get if you stacked nine 50-inch displays in a 3 x 3 matrix.  Worried a £600,000 TV will attract unwanted attention?  Not to worry — it weighs a whopping 1,323 pounds, so it would take a couple of really strong burglars to lift the thing out of your digs very slowly.

The plasma screen has 4K2K resolution (4,096 x 2,160 pixels), which posts four times as many pixels as current hi-def standards, and 17:9 aspect ratio, which is the same as those used in movie theaters.  It can handle 3D video, too, so it’s as future-ready a set as you can get today.

The Panasonic TH-152UX1W, along with other high-end consumer electronics, will be available in Harrod’s starting this Thursday.
