Seriously, digicams need to bring something extra in order to appeal to the masses and these DC Comics Super Hero faceplates for the Pentax Optio RS1500 is a good place to start.
Bundled in a special package with purchase of the camera, there are seven faceplates in total, each of which can be quickly snapped onto your compact shooter to give it an entirely different look. Slated for launch in conjunction with the upcoming Green Lantern film, the bundle will also include a Green Lantern carrying case and a 4GB SD card. Yep, no better way to proclaim your comic book fandom than with something like this in tow.
The DC Comics Super Hero faceplates for the RS1500 individually feature classic comic book versions of Green Lantern, Batman, Catwoman, Wonder Woman, Superman, The Flash and The Joker. This new set joins the many other faceplates currently available for the same camera on the market, as well as the Pentax Personal Skin Designer software, which lets you create custom graphics that you can print for use with it.
Just in case you also care about the camera itself, details include a 14-megapixel CCD, 27.5mm–110mm Wide angle lens and a 3-inch LCD screen ’round the back. We’re not sure of exact pricing or availability dates for the bundle, but expect it to be just a tad over the Optio RS1500’s $149.95 retail price.
