Qlipter Combines A Hook And A Carabiner For A Whole New Useful Tool

qlipter-1

There’s nothing wild about the Qlipter – it’s a simple carabiner with a hook attached at the bottom. Its utility, however, cannot be discounted, as you can simply clip or hook the assembly onto any suitable edge to add an instant facility where you can hang your gear.

A multi-purpose tool, you can hitch it using the hook or clip it using the carabiner, with whichever one ends up at the bottom serving as the tool to hold your stuff. Whether you hook it to branch on a tree next to your tent at camp for hanging supplies, clip it to the rack on your closet so you can hang your bag there, or even clip it a belt loop so you can have a place to hang your Guapa Peaks Hat when it’s not on your head, this handy little contraption should serve its job well.

Qlipter measures 3.3 inches wide, with a large opening on both the hook and carabiner that allows it to attach onto a wide variety of objects. It can support loads of up to 50 pounds, too, so even backpacks filled with canned goods, drinking water, and other heavy gear shouldn’t be a problem. Heck, you can hang a bicycle on there and it should hold fine.

A rubber end cap on the hook lets it deliver more grip on whatever surface it’s hitched to, with a rotating mechanism that allows it to secure on top of the carabiner, so the hook isn’t dangling when not in use. Construction is aircraft-grade aluminum, with a weight of just 2.5 ounces.

Originally a Kickstarter project, the Qlipter is available now, priced at $19.95.
