We’re huge fans of Razer’s gaming-ready Blade laptops, but if you do most of your gaming at home, it’s more than likely you’d rather carry a lighter and slimmer computer for daily work duties. The Razer Blade Stealth is aimed at that category of users.

Described as the “ultimate ultrabook,” it’s a lightweight and compact laptop that measures a mere half an inch in thickness and weighs just 2.75 pounds.   That means, you can drop it in your backpack or briefcase without adding too much heft, making it an ideal work laptop for someone who spends much of the day on the go. Once you get home, the laptop can plug into an optional Razer Core unit, which gives it access to a discreet GPU, turning your erstwhile work computer into a full-fledged gaming PC.

The Razer Blade Stealth has a 12.5-inch touchscreen display in either QHD or ultra-HD resolutions. Both versions come with Intel Core i7 processors, Intel HD 520 graphics, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and up to 512GB SSD storage, along with dual speakers, a light-up Razer Chroma keyboard, stereo speakers, 2-megapixel web cam, and the usual array of laptop features. It has a Thunderbolt 3 slot, which it uses to connect to the Razer Core box, giving the laptop access to whatever graphic-crunching GPU unit you have sitting inside. The Core, by the way, can accommodate graphics cards up to double-wide, full-length in size, so you can turn the Blade Stealth into a legitimately powerful gaming machine as soon as you plug in at home.
