Riviera Valet Tray Brings Retro Beach Resort Feel To Your Digs

Sometimes, it’s the small touches that make the decor.  If you’re trying to give your room the retro island resort feel, this Riviera Valet Tray should replace that Stretchy Bowl for holding all the stuff you dump out of your pockets as soon as you get in the door.

Made by May Furniture Co. as part of their Spartan colletion, it’s a butler tray inspired by the ones parked right by the front door of your room at the hotel beach resort back when you stayed there in 1965.  Or when your parents stayed there in 1965.  Or maybe your grandparents or something.  Darn, this thing looks old.

Designed by Travis James, the Riviera Valet Tray borrows from both historical Japanese and contemporary Danish design, creating a stylish tray that would look just as sweet on your contemporary pad as it will in a vintage resort at some exotic Carribean island.  Handmade with solid wood, it measures a generous 12 x 5.5 x 1.5 inches, giving you space to dump your phone, coins, keys, wallet, and, pretty much, everything in your pocket on the angled surface.

The Riviera Valet Tray is available in three finishes: whitewashed maple, blackened walnut and oiled walnut.  Price is $175.
