The debate between PC loyalists and the Mac brigades continue. Well, not for me. I like and use both. But I know plenty of people I am sure would die for their computing choice. Well… maybe. But for those of us for whom computer accessories and peripherals are as central to our enjoyment as the machine itself, Mac might just have earned itself some extra brownie points with this superbly cool case.
I don’t mean a carry case. I mean an everyday usage case. For those of you who have not used a MacBook before, you might not be aware of just how many clip on cases are available for them. And when you have spent so much money buying the MacBook in the first place, buying a case for extra protection in case of dropping etc is never a bad idea. Or maybe it’s just me that really is that clumsy with a notebook.
This case is available for the 13 inch and 15 inch screen MacBook pro notebooks. Unfortunately, those of you with the 17 inch miss out here.
This Shadow case is brought to us by Carbon Fiber Gear and is leather, triple layer carbon wrapped and has a strategically placed, removable plexiglass window to enable you to choose whether to display the Apple logo on your MacBook or not. It’s soft to the touch externally and it has a ‘velvet like plush interior’. It’s pretty posh by laptop case standards, in my experience. But is it worth its price tag?
A $70 retailing price means that this case isn’t the cheapest MacBook case on the market by any stretch of the imagination. But, reviews online from independent consumers indicate that is really is a case (pardon the pun) of getting what you pay for and that this is a pretty good case!
