Build Your Own Solar Powered Infinitely-Bobbing Papercraft Bobbleheads

I can’t remember the last time bobbleheads were cool.  They’re still not cool, but these DIY Solar-Powered Papercraft Bobbleheads sure look fun.

Unlike many bobbleheads you’ve had over the years, these ones don’t just shake their skulls for a little while after you give them a tap.  Instead, they’ll rock their noggins continuously, courtesy of solar-powered machinery that makes them shake their heads over and over.

The DIY Solar-Powered Bobbleheads comes as a papercraft kit, with sheets of pre-printed and pre-cut cardboard that you can fold and tuck into a three-dimensional action character standing on a display platform.  A simple head-nodding contraption is included (it goes inside the figures), along with a solar cell that will power it to bob its noggin non-stop with just a little bit of light (regular interior lighting is fine — no need for sunlight).

Four characters with boxy heads are available: Ninja, Tiger Face, Skeleton and Vampire.  Each one measures 3.5 x 2 x 2 inches and comes with a display platform that’s 5 x 3.5 x 1.5 inches in size.  You’ll need to assemble everything following the included instructions (estimated time is 25 minutes).  No extra tools required.

VAT19 has the DIY Solar-Powered Papercraft Bobbleheads available now, priced at $15.95 each.
