Strand Craft V8 Wet Rod: So, This Is What A Luxury Jet Ski Looks Like

The Strand Craft V8 Wet Rod is a luxury personal watercraft.  You know, like a Rolls Royce of jet skis.  Like the car, it lets you show off ostentatious wealth without having to say a word.  Which is why it’s a little disappointing the thing can’t be driven by a chauffeur.

Designed to look more elegant than sporty, the watercraft will definitely make an imposing presence in any beach, setting itself apart from all the sporty Yamahas and Skii-doos riding the waves.  Don’t think this won’t run like a beast, though.  Kurt Strand designed it in collaboration with professional watercraft riders, so expect powerful performance to match the undeniably impressive looks.

We’re not sure how much we like the name (honestly, it sounds a little juvenile), but we definitely love the power it packs.  The Strand Craft V8 Wet Rod is powered by a 300 hp 5.7-liter V8 engine that’s paired with a jet propulsion system that pushes it to top speeds of 65 mph.   Measuring 16 feet long, it features carbon fiber and epoxy construction, one seat (sorry, can’t pick up chicks while in the water) with an ice box under it, and a waterproof luggage box.  Like every luxury product, it comes with plenty of options, including wood inlays, custom finishes, a trailer, a sound system, and GPS navigation.  Sorry, guys, no missile blasters on the list.

Availability for the Strand Craft V8 Wet Rod is planned for later in the year.  Price starts at a hefty $49,000.
