Tegra-Lite Bulletproof Attaché Protects Your Valuable Stash

It’s not easy being a very important man.  Not only do you have women banging at your door all times of day and people waiting on your every decision, you, occasionally, need to transport very sensitive materials, too.  And by sensitive, we mean stuff that invite villanious characters to shoot at you while you make the trip.  During those moments, you know exactly how to carry them: with the Tegra-Lite Bulletproof Attaché.

Made by Tumi, the briefcase boasts “proven strength and unparalleled performance.”  And by those, they mean it will absorb the impact of bullets so they don’t end up destroying whatever you’re ferrying inside.  Whether you’re delivering a precious find from a historical dig or taking your doomsday device to where you will unleash its power, this case is exactly the carrying container to take with you.

The Tegra-Lite Bulletproof Attaché is made from Tegris, a polypropylene thermoplastic composite material that’s used in armored vests, NFL protective gear and NASCAR vehicles. A total 65 layers of Tegris are set  on top of each other to create the anti-ballistic pile, which meets NIJ Standard 0108.01, Threat Level 1.  Suitcase features include a leather top carry handle, a combination lock, a handcuff attachment, protective bottom feet and built-in interior compartments (including a false bottom for extra security).

While you can, of course, use the case as a shield when the villainous creeps start shooting for your head, Tumi doesn’t recommend it.  It’s meant to secure whatever’s being held inside — protecting your mortality is another story.  For that, we highly recommend garbing up in similarly protective attire: bulletproof shirt, bulletproof vest, bulletproof hanky and all that.  Oh yeah, ditch the everyday Bentley and take the ultra-armored mod instead.

Tumi has the The Tegra-Lite Bulletproof Attaché available now, priced at $5,995.
