Transformers Cine-Mask 3D Puts 3D Lenses In Robot Headgear

Best 3D glasses ever?  We’re not sure.  But how can you not appreciate the genius of an idea that is this Transformers Cine-Mask 3D, which puts stereoscopic glasses on a shape-shifting robot’s head?

Created by Hasbro with 3D lens from RealD 3D, the mask and 3D glasses combo are being made for the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon movie, which is slated to hit theaters sometime in July.  That way, you can come to the showing wearing Transformers headgear with no need for an extra pair of 3D specs to enjoy it.

The Cine-Mask 3D comes in two models: Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.  Both are equipped with RealD 3D lenses, which you can use to enjoy the Transformers movie’s 3D effects, along with any other RealD 3D compatible movie you’re planning to see (yes, you get to dress up like Optimus Prime when you watch Step Up 3D on your 3DTV — wee).

Are they for kids?  Probably.  Will adults wear them?  Most likely.  Are you going to look stupid putting one on?  Definitely.  And we bet you can’t wait to get your hands on one.

The Transformers Cine-Mask 3D will be available beginning May 9th, priced at $9.99.   We’re guessing you can probably get them from the theater, too, but expect a slight mark-up if you wait till then.
