Zeropoint Smallest Bag Collapses Into A Roll No Bigger Than A Stack Of Coins

We’re big fans of Matador’s folding bags, which allow you to literally carry an empty backpack inside your pants pocket. If a full-featured backpack is a little too much for your needs, though, then you may want to check out Zeropoint’s Smallest Bag.

You know how Matador’s bags transform into a pouch that literally squeezes into your pocket? Well, this one’s even smaller, as it can roll into a bundle that can literally squeeze into your pants’ coin pocket. It’s so small, in fact, they even recommend using it as a key fob, although doing so will leave you without a key fob, in case you actually decide to use it as a bag for the rest of the day.

When deployed, the Zeropoint Smallest Bag unfolds into a pouch bag, with a loop in one corner that you can use as the handle. No, it’s not the most convenient way to carry a bag (we’d have preferred a drawstring somewhere), but it works well enough that you should be able to carry most gear without any problems. They also omitted a closure system, which definitely helped with the bag’s collapsed size, which means it’s always open, so you best be mindful when using it to avoid having any of your stuff jump out of the main compartment.

Surely, something that can fold into such a tiny roll is made of flimsy material, right? Well, not quite the case, as the product photos show the bag being used to lift two heavy dumbbells (looks like 50 or 60 pounds apiece), so it should stand the rigors of day-to-day use just fine, whether you’re using to carry groceries, small gadgets, or whatever crap you ended up buying at the flea market. It even has a splash-proof inner coating, so if you place wet stuff inside (sweaty gym clothes or cold drinks), all the moisture will stay inside and won’t leak, allowing you to just get rid of it as soon as you get to your destination.

The Zeropoint Smallest Bag comes in two sizes: original and grand, with the former measuring 8.7 x 12.2 inches (A4 size) and the latter measuring 12.2 x 16.9 inches (A3 size). That makes both big enough to hold even a laptop, although with no closure and no padding, we don’t imagine it will make a great bag for your portable productivity machine. Suffice to say, there’s enough space here to carry most items you end up bringing home on impulse.

When collapsing, you fold the bag until it’s the size of an arm band (well, a really long arm band), then roll it towards the loop until only the loop remains. From there, you roll the loop around the bundle and secure it using the integrated snap closure. Because of the loop with the snap closure, you can just attach the collapsed pouch into bag straps, D-rings, and other hardware, so you don’t even have to keep it in your pocket.

A Kickstarter is currently running for the Zeropoint Smallest Bag. You can reserve a unit for pledges starting at $6.
