Enjoy Hyrule’s Soundtrack All Throughout Your Home with The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Deluxe 8LP Boxset

Breath of the Wild is easily one of the best games ever to grace the Nintendo Switch. Not only that, it had a banging soundtrack that accompanied every moment you spent inside the game’s open-world Hyrule. Now, you can have all that music spinning on your record player with the The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Deluxe 8LP Boxset.

That’s right, they’re releasing all the music from the game in a custom boxset, allowing you to relive your favorite moments without needing to bust out Nintendo’s gaming handheld. Whether it’s that time you first gazed across the ruined lands of Hyrule Kingdom, the wild jungle adventures you stumble into, or your quest to free the Divine Beasts from Calamity Ganon’s control, this boxset has all the music to bring all those memories back to the fore.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Deluxe 8LP Boxset is a collection of 130 tracks, all taken from the game, each one specially remastered for this set. The tracks are spread around eight different vinyl records, each one filled with multiple tracks on each side. According to Nintendo, all tracks on each side of a disc are centered around a single theme, ensuring helps players relive a specific sequence of moments in the game, which should make for a more cohesive listening experience than having a collection that randomly jumps around among music from different scenes. From the track lists, it looks like they mirror a player’s progression through the game, which will probably make it just a little easier to find any specific music from the game that you have in mind.

Like other Nintendo games, all of Breath of the Wild’s music were made in house. The soundtrack for the game is credited to four Nintendo-employed composers, namely Manaka Kataoka, Yasuaki Iwata, Hajime Wakai, and Soshi Abe. Yes, we were surprised not to see Koji Kondo on the list, too, but we guess he’s letting the new blood take the reins for the actual music composition now that he has bigger responsibilities in the company.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Deluxe 8LP Boxset comes in either colored vinyl or standard black vinyl, with the former being available in limited quantities, so make sure you get in early if you want more colorful records. The heavyweight LPs get a cool-looking case with alternating blue and gold splatter effects, with each disc getting a rigid board dual slipcase, spine-printed inner sleeves, and printed disc inners, with 16 art prints, each depicting various scenes from the game. And yes, buyers get full access to the digital version of the soundtrack via the Nintendo Music app.

Want Breath of the Wild on LP, but not quite ready to fork out that much for a big eight-disc set? Maybe, you can go for the Deluxe Double Vinyl variant, which cobbles together 34 of the most beloved music tracks from the game, spread out across four sides of vinyl. The packaging doesn’t look as grand as the eight-disc variant, but it will definitely still make for a nice collectible.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Deluxe 8LP Boxset is now listed for preorder on Laced Records’ website. Price is £145. The Double Vinyl version is listed at £36.
