Click & Grow 25 Lets You Build A 25-Plant Garden Using Very Little Space

When Click & Grow came out with their first set-and-forget planters a decade ago, it was quite unique in the space. Fast forward to now and they’ve got themselves a whole lot of competition. Yet, the outfit has managed to stay at the forefront of the category by continuing to refine and expand their range of products. This time around, they’re offering a way to build a miniature farm in your kitchen with the Click & Grow 25.

Billed as a veritable “indoor garden in your own home,” it’s designed to provide harvest for use all year round. That’s right, no more waiting 30 days to get a harvest and then wait again – this thing is designed to keep you stocked with your favorite greens, herbs, or fruits every day of the year.

The Click & Grow 25 consists of a planter module with a base sized to hold five planting trays, an integrated water tank, and a Bluetooth-controlled lighting system. Each of the trays can be planted with up to five of the outfit’s plant pods, which contain both the soil and seed you will need to grow a specific plant. That means, you can grow up to 25 individual plants on the module, any of which you can harvest as soon as they’re ready. Once you take off a pod for harvesting, just immediately replace it with a new one to ensure you have enough of your favorite vegetables on hand any time you need it.

The automatic watering setup will make sure your plants get the right amount of water they need, so you can just sit back and let the thing grow without having to do any work. Well… a little work, since you’ll have to replenish the tank weekly. After that, though, you just leave it to its own devices.

The Click & Grow 25’s lighting system consists of two 16W LED lamps that, the outfit claims, are optimized to facilitate optimal growth while minimizing light pollution. Yeah… we don’t know what light pollution is, either, but we’ll take their word for it. The lights are designed to run by themselves, by the way, although you can also manually control them via the companion app. And yes, the app will remind you whenever you need to refill the water tank. Want to grow more than 25 plants at a time? Not a problem, as this thing is stackable, allowing you to line up rows upon rows of fresh greens, herbs, and fruits as you need, while taking up the same amount of floor space as a single unit.

Each unit will come with 54 plants pods, which, they estimate, should be enough to keep you covered for around three months. You can, of course, choose what kind of plants you get with the kit. According to the outfit, they have over 70 types of plants available, including different types of lettuce, a variety of Asian greens, herbs, fruits, and more.

A Kickstarter campaign is currently running for the Click & Grow 25. You can reserve a unit for pledges starting at $499.
