Edge 80 Optic Adds Tilt-Shift Powers To Your Lensbaby Lenses

Are you a big fan of Lensbaby’s line of dreamy, trippy and artsy lenses?  Well, they just got better with the Lensbaby Edge 80 Optic, a “field of focus” optic that lets you tilt the shots for even fancier photographs.

Compatible with the outfit’s Composer Pro, Composer, Muse, Scout and Control Freak kits, the Edge 80 will sit on top of the lens, allowing you to control the slice of focus within the shot.  Yep, all your old fancy lenses automatically earning tilt-shift powers with just a single add-on.

When pointed straight ahead, the Lensbaby Edge 80 Optic will work like a regular straight lens, so you can keep it on even when you don’t plan to do any tilting on your next shot.  Want to control your slice of focus within the shot?  Tilt the thing horizontally, vertically or diagonally as you like, then rotate the 12-blade aperture’s dial to control the width and rotate the ring to focus as close to 17-inches away from the subject.

Lensbaby claims the kit should work great for any situation that requires selective focus, with plenty of sample shots on their website to give interested folks an idea about what they can do with it.  It’s available now, priced at $300.
