Portable camp rockers make for some of the most comfortable camping chairs. Problem is, it’s so comfortable, the wife ends up hogging it when you’re chilling at camp. Well… you can either bring two of those or just take the GCI Outdoor Tandem Rocker to your next trip.
A two-seat version of the outfit’s camp rocker, the camp chair retains the same spring-supported rocking action as the original, all while doubling up the seat capacity. That way, you don’t need to tell the wife there’s a spider on the chair to finally get her off, this thing lets the two of you sit in comfort together.

The GCI Outdoor Tandem Rocker is a camp chair that collapses into a flat pile, making it easy to carry in hand when you’re moving from one spot to another. Instead of a single loveseat like some dual- and triple-seaters we’ve seen, this one looks like two individual chairs sewn together with only set of arm rests. Why? It’s for those times you don’t need to a two-seater, as it lets you unfold just one seat and keep the other side collapsed, effectively turning the two-seater into a solo rocker. We have to admit, that’s quite the nice touch.
When open the chair measures 47.6 inches wide, so there’s enough room there to accommodate two adults comfortably. It also uses a double rocker design, so it won’t strain from having to move the weight of two people, with the spring-action design installed on both. According to the outfit, it can accommodate up to 250 pounds on each seat (500 pounds total), so even bigger individuals should be able to lounge comfortably on this thing. Do note, it looks like you will have to move in unison despite the dual rockers, since the seats aren’t designed to separate when moving at different paces.

The GCI Outdoor Tandem Rocker uses the outfit’s smooth and soothing rocking technology, which, they claim, works on grass, grave, and patio. That’s right, they make no mention of sand, so it’s probably a no-go trying to get this rocking on the beach. Each armrest, by the way, comes with a multi-pocket caddy below it, giving you a convenient place to store items while you rest your legs. And yes, they can fit drink cans, tumblers, phones, and a whole load of other stuff, so those caddies will definitely come in handy. Sadly, there’s no separate cup holder, so you’ll have to use one of the pockets for your drink.

According to GCI, it uses their Eazy-Fold technology, which makes setting up and packing down very simple and efficient. Suffice to say, it’s intuitive enough not to require a guide like some chairs might. There’s also a closure strap, so it won’t accidentally deploy while walking up a trail. Other features include padded armrests, mid-height back rests, dual carry handles so you can easily take it by hand, a weight of 21.2 pounds (yeah, it’s pretty heavy), and a folded size of 35 x 25.2 x 9.8 inches (height x depth x width), so this is absolutely not a backpacking chair.
The GCI Outdoor Tandem Rocker is available now, priced at $112.
