It looks like any toy car – the kind your kids can pretend to drive around the house, dodging every piece of furniture in their way. Unlike other toy cars, though, the Enduro Toy Cars are fitted with mechanical systems modeled from real vehicles, allowing them to move, steer, and perform like real automobiles.

For instance, the cars are equipped with rack and pinion steering, giving them the ability to maneuver into any direction by simply pushing them into a turn. With exceptionally smooth bearings and bushings, it can be controlled with very minimal effort, too, ensuring even small kids won’t have any problems pushing it around with a single finger.

The Enduro Toy Cars come in two modes: a racer and a truck. Aside from the mechanical steering, it comes with a spring-actuated suspension for taking really tight turns, while the truck gets a leaf-spring suspension and a rubber center structure for driving smoothly over bumps, holes, and small stones in the backyard. Both toy cars have molded aluminum bodies that are polished, brushed, and coated in die-cast metal, ensuring they should hold up to even the roughest play.

Details include hardwood paneling, leather seats, and natural rubber tires, so these things are fitted with some premium materials. Dimensions are 7.6 x 3.5 x 4. 5 inches for the truck, while the racer measures 4.6 x 2.75 x 1.5 inches. And, yes, the racer fits snugly into the bed of the pickup, allowing them to take up less room in the shelf.

A Kickstarter campaign is currently running for the Enduro Toy Cars. You can reserve a unit for pledges starting at $25.
