Ruggy Is A Slide-And-Clamp Hook Replacement For Hanging Towels In The Bathroom

Need a place to hang towels in the bathroom? Install a towel rack.  No space for a wide wall-mounted installation? Not a problem, just add a hook. Since we’re at an age where we’re reinventing everything, however, there’s the Ruggy, a dedicated towel hanger.

Like hooks, you can use it to hang one towel at a time. Unlike them, it uses a slightly more complicated process that has you sliding the towel up an opening at the bottom, then allowing the integrated marble to lock it in place. We’re not entirely sure what advantage it holds over a good, old fashioned hook, but it definitely looks more awesome doing what it does.

The Ruggy is a wooden hanger with a clip-like design that should accommodate a single towel while taking up very little space. Instead of a moving clip, however, it has a marble hidden on a recessed area in the inner side of the wood, which wedges in the towel, robe, or any other item you slide under the clip. To remove the towel, simply pull it towards either side. To comes with an adhesive backing that allows it to install quickly onto any wall in the house.

Aside from towels and robes, it should make a suitable facility for storing hats, neckties, scarves, and similar accessories. It comes with 18 different finishes, so you can choose the best fit your home’s décor.

A Kickstarter campaign is currently running for the Ruggy. You can reserve a unit for pledges starting at $12.
