We’re big fans of Gronbach’s Stationary Vacuum, which lets you install a dirt-sucking appliance under cabinets and other furniture pieces, so you can simply sweep dirt right into the area to properly clean your floors. The Sweepovac offers a similar, albeit more compact, solution.
Similar to Gronbach’s offering, you simply install it under any existing pieces of furniture, like standing shelves, cabinets, and islands. The smaller profile, however, allows it to set up along cabinet sides for a more discreet and less-conspicuous placement, ensuring it won’t interfere with your home’s existing aesthetics.
The Sweepovac consists of a drawer in the middle with a small suction opening at the base and a large button on the side. To use, you simply sweep any dirt into the front of the suction opening and press on the button using your foot until all the dirt is gone. That’s it. While it may not be necessary if you use a robot cleaner or regularly vacuum the house, it’s a great alternative for those who don’t want to bother with a large and noisy vacuum, since you can simply sweep dirt into the area to have it cleaned up with a single kick. Plus, it saves you from the annoying lines of dirt that usually comes with dustpans.
According to the creators, you should be able to install Sweepovac within 30 minutes, although you would need to cut into the cabinet base, so you will need the proper tools. If you have clear area under a furniture, though, you can simply place it there for no-hassle installation. Dimensions are 14.9 x 4.5 x 18.25 inches (w x h x d).
