It looks like a classic radio straight out of the 1960s. And, yes, Tivoli Audio’s Model One Digital can play FM radio just like those old-time rigs. Except, it also comes fitted with contemporary tech that allows it to serve as a wireless stereo speaker for music services and your personal collection.
Sporting a boxy wooden enclosure with a fabric speaker grill and a large brushed aluminum knob, the darn thing nails the appearance of vintage radios, with an aesthetic that should fit in well with most contemporary homes. It comes in a size similar to those old-time radios, too, so you can easily move it from the living room to the kitchen to the bedroom.
The Tivoli Audio Model One Digital comes with integrated Wi-Fi, so it can stream music at CD-quality speeds from Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, QQ, TuneIn, and your personal library. It has a large round display on the right side, so you can check what’s playing the entire time, with the dial allowing to flip through different music sources with a few turns. A companion app (iOS and Android) allows you to control it as you chill in the couch, so you don’t have to walk over to the device every single time.
Onboard Bluetooth allows it to pair with other speakers for stereo playback and multi-room audio. Do note, it needs to be plugged in to a power outlet, so you won’t quite be able to take it outside the abode.
