Sure, growing an indoor garden will ensure you never run out of fresh herbs any time you’re whipping magic in the kitchen. If gardening isn’t in the list of things you care about, though, this Herb Keeper Mill might serve as a workable alternative.
Made by Ippinka, it’s a combination grinder and container designed to be stored in a freezer when not in use, keeping your supply of herbs fresh for extended periods of time. Any time you need whatever herb you’ve got stuffed in the chamber, simply pull it out of the freezer, mill a few small pieces into your dish, and put the whole thing back in the freezer when you’re done.
The Herb Keeper Mill features a transparent container so you can see exactly what herb you have in there, in case you’ve been out of the house the last couple of weeks and forgot, while a large turning handle on the lower end sets the grinding motion into action. The herb chamber is generously-sized, so you can cram a good load of fresh basil, parsley, or whatever herbs you’d like to stock up on for your favorite recipes. Of course, a couple of these can take up a lot of space in the freezer, so it takes away some room in there for the rest of your food items.
As of now, the Herb Keeper Mill has not been produced yet, but is up in Ippinka’s website and under consideration for production. No planned pricing is listed either, but we imagine this could sell well if they make it affordable.
