WaterBuoy Will Keep Your Small Valuables From Drowning

You can think of the WaterBuoy as a life vest for your valuables.  Hook your keys onto one and they will float in the water when your electric sofa boat capsizes, instead of heading straight down to the bottom of the ocean.

Measuring just slightly larger than a USB stick, the floatation device can keep any object up to 2.2 lbs. from sinking in the water, making it a great option for securing the stuff you bring with you while paddling your transparent canoe in the lake.  For heavier stuff, like your DSLR, you should be able to  get away with hanging a few of these fobs — just attach them around strategic points so they don’t get in each other’s way.

The WaterBuoy is a miniature floating contraption with a pinhole on top for hooking any gear you don’t want to lose in the water.  When it finds itself immersed in water, it triggers a special balloon to pop out of the bottom panel, sending it back up to the surface before it hits the undercurrent.

The balloon’s orange color makes it easily visible from a distance, allowing you to quickly locate where your fallen gear ended up.  In case dark sets in, not to worry — the mini-buoy comes with an onboard flashing LED that keeps it discernible at night.  Both the balloon and the LED can keep your stash afloat and visible for up to 24 hours straight.

With the WaterBuoy, you can make sure your gear stays afloat even when they fall over.  Granted, the electronics in your cellphones and cameras will probably be screwed, but you can, at least, take them back home.  It’s available now, priced at $12.99.
