Buffy Nook Pillow Supersizes The Travel Pillow To Keep Your Neck And Back Super Comfy

Travel pillows are great, allowing you to comfortably doze off in a seated position by supporting your neck and keeping your head from slipping into an uncomfortable position. It’s a simple yet clever solution. And if a small neck pillow does so well to make you comfortable, wouldn’t a bigger one do the same thing even better? At least, that’s what we’re hoping the Buffy Nook Pillow will do.

An oversized version of the classic travel pillow, the U-shaped cushion provides the same support as the pillow you use when flying cross-country, albeit in massive dimensions that actually makes it unsuitable for travel. While you won’t be bringing it to plane rides anytime soon, it should make for a handy pillow at home, giving you comfy way to nod off in the middle of a Netflix marathon without waking up with a stiff neck.

The Buffy Nook Pillow measures 20.5 x 18 x 6 inches (length x width x thickness), making it significantly bigger and thicker than your typical travel pillow. Unlike traditional travel pillows, it’s designed for use at homes, in offices, and in cars, so you can enjoy heavily-cushioned neck and back support, whether you’re watching live sports on TV, poring over spreadsheets, or casually leaning back in the car while you let your car’s autonomous mode take over. Yes, the autonomous mode is still pretty sus, but sitting in the driver’s seat without having to drive is just so much fun.

The pillow has a shell made from soft woven lyocell fabric that’s stuffed with 100 percent GRS-certified polyester fill made from recycled PET bottles. That’s right, this pillow uses recycled plastic bottles for the cushion, which absolutely sounds strange. Apparently, that plastic fill is extremely soft with none of the crunchy properties you’ll normally associate with PET bottles, all while retaining some heat-keeping properties that allow it to retain just the right level of heat to keep things snug.

At its size, the Buffy Nook Pillow does look a bit ridiculous when worn around your neck, so you’ll be looking absolutely goofy prancing around the house with the darn thing in tow.  Because of the size, you can actually use it to serve the functions of other pillows. Use it as a seat cushion, for instance, when sitting on the hardwood chairs around the dining table or use it as a lumbar pillow for your office chair. Heck, you can lay multiple pieces of it around the couch and call it croissant-shaped throw pillows if you want. According to the outfit, they’ve tested to serve as a great seat and back cushion for many shapes and sizes of chairs.

The removable fuzzy cover is made from a similar recycled PET-sourced polyester as the one used in the fill, by the way, so everything here is sustainable, save for the main shell. The cover is machine-washable, too, although the actual pillow is dry-clean only (apparently, the polyester fill doesn’t react too well to being soaked in water for extended periods).

The Buffy Nook Pillow is available now, priced at $99.
